Raise the roof for Howard KendallLast year Everton lost our most successful manager, Howard Kendall, and as the game against West Ham on Sunday is the closest home game to the anniversary of his passing, we want Evertonians to turn Goodison Park into a wall of noise and colour for the former player and manager. Against Sunderland in Novemeber last year, we co-ordinated a period of applause in the fourth minute of the match to show our appreciation for what he did, but this year we want to go a few steps further. As with last year, the club have agreed to show an image of Howard on the big screens, but this time we want to punctuate the game with moments of applause and chanting for our greatest ever manager. As the clock ticks over to 4 minutes, we want the whole of Goodison Park to roar as one to ensure the noise is heard far and wide. “One Howard Kendall” should ring out around the ground to mark the famous number four shirt he wore as a player at Everton. But Howard was much more than just a player. He was Everton. So we want to mark several points in the match with chanting for the man who created the Everton that people of a certain generation first fell in love with. On 32 minutes – to mark Howard’s age when he first took over at Everton – we think it would be great to repeat the noise we made earlier in the match. Then again on 67 minutes to mark when he signed, nd 84 minutes – to mark his first FA Cup win as Everton manager. All four periods of chanting / applause will also then bring us full-circle to the number 4 shirt Howard wore as an Everton player. Kendall was such an instrumental part in making Everton the club that it is today and we think that the first anniversary of his passing away should be celebrated at Goodison Park with a crescendo of noise and an outburst of colour. If you have any banners – or want to make some for the occasion – then the club have also agreed that stewards will be more lenient than in the past, and if you have a retro shirt from the glory days on Kendall’s first reign as manager, then wouldn’t it be great to put those on show as well. Everton Football Club meant the world to Howard, and we think that his first anniversary should show his family just how much the feeling was mutual. Raise the roof for Howard. West Ham fans are under the impression that somehow they've overtaken us in the Premier League Pecking Order, so it's a good opportunity to continue our unbeaten home run and give them a proper going over. We need to start scoring more goals, but when you consider that Koeman came in and cleared the decks of our strikers, before signing a Striker who scored 4 goals for West Ham last season, on the final day of the transfer window, then strictly speaking, he only has himself to blame. Arouna Kone - taken by aliens (Anybody seen him?) Shani Tarashaj - loaned out to Frankfurt Oumar Niasse - sent to play with the u23's Conor McAleny - sent to play with the u23's Leandro Rodriguez - Told to find a new clubIronically, Valencia can't play against West Ham, as they're his parent club.

When asked about Niasse's form, Koeman said “I hope he scores a hat-trick every week in the under-23s," I don't like reading that.
