West Ham fans are under the impression that somehow they've overtaken us in the Premier League Pecking Order, so it's a good opportunity to continue our unbeaten home run and give them a proper going over. We need to start scoring more goals, but when you consider that Koeman came in and cleared the decks of our strikers, before signing a Striker who scored 4 goals for West Ham last season, on the final day of the transfer window, then strictly speaking, he only has himself to blame. Arouna Kone - taken by aliens (Anybody seen him?) Shani Tarashaj - loaned out to Frankfurt Oumar Niasse - sent to play with the u23's Conor McAleny - sent to play with the u23's Leandro Rodriguez - Told to find a new clubIronically, Valencia can't play against West Ham, as they're his parent club. When asked about Niasse's form, Koeman said “I hope he scores a hat-trick every week in the under-23s," I don't like reading that. have they had an argument? to stick a brand new signing in with the kids and ignore him regardless of how many he is scoring is bang out of order

Ronald Koeman has told Everton’s official website that Leighton Baines could come back into his team this weekend, for his side’s match against West Ham United. Baines has been out since the middle of September, since he picked up a hamstring injury. However, the full-back is expected to return to training this week, and Koeman has suggested that the England international could come back into his first-team plans.

Is that what he said? If what you read in the papers is true then yes. Google it. You can't ignore goals from a senior player when our front 3 are struggling. If he bangs a few more in then it will make Koeman reconsider, if not fans will start to ask why.

'Clever' Full-Backs Key For KoemanBryan Oviedo has shed light on how Ronald Koeman has adapted the full-back roles since taking over at Everton. There has been a noticeable improvement in the Blues’ defensive play this term but that’s not to say the likes of Oviedo, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman have had their licence to get forward revoked. Indeed, the popular Costa Rican explains that a lot of work has gone in on the training ground at Finch Farm to ensure players have the tactical knowledge to pick their moments to attack. “It is very important for the team,” he said. “When we have possession and are on the attack you have to be a very clever full-back because we create the balance of the team. “Yes, I like to play going forward but there are moments when I need to be more controlled. If we are attacking on the right then we need balance on the left and we need to work together as a team. “Maybe I am not expected to play that differently. It is the same aspects but maybe I have to be more concentrated on the defensive side because the manager and his staff like us to be very good on the defensive balance.” Oviedo has been a regular in the side over the last four league games, covering for the injured Baines, and he is enjoying the chance to prove his worth on the pitch. He has had to be patient for opportunities since arriving from FC Copenhagen in 2012, but insists he remains committed to helping the team however he can. “It is not easy because you want to play every time,” added Oviedo. “But you need to know that you are an important part of the team and you need to be working hard all the time because in the moment you don’t expect, you have a chance and you need to be ready for that. “Sometimes, if you are not ready you can’t say anything afterwards. “I am so happy at the moment because I have a chance to play and I am trying to do the best for myself and for the team. I hope to continue playing and I will always be ready for the next game.”

Rhys Jones Drama To Film At GoodisonEverton will play host to ITV Drama ‘Little Boy Blue’ this weekend to recreate the moving moment when the parents and brother of Evertonian Rhys Jones were applauded by the Goodison Park crowd as fans paid tribute to the murdered schoolboy. In the days following their 11-year-old son’s tragic shooting in August 2007, Melanie and Steve Jones, were supported by the manager, players and staff at Everton Football Club. The family were guests of the Club at the first fixture after Rhys’ tragic death as Everton fans and visiting Blackburn supporters showed their respects with a period of applause. Filming will take place at half time on Sunday 30 October during Everton’s game with West Ham - with actors Sinead Keenan and Bryan F. O’Byrne playing Melanie and Steve. Rhys’ parents are appealing to Evertonians at the game on Sunday to please remain in their seats at half time to allow filming to take part and to join in recreating that poignant moment of applause for the family. The drama, written by BAFTA award-winning screenwriter and executive producer, Jeff Pope, is produced with Melanie and Steve’s full approval and is based on careful research. It will explore Melanie and Steve’s ordeal following Rhys’s murder as he made his way home to Croxteth Park across the Fir Tree pub car park following football practice. [Above is the video to be played ahead of Sunday's game] Melanie and Steve have issued the following statement, which advises of their decision to support the factual drama: "We wanted to get involved in this drama because we thought it was important for people to understand what really happened - how close Rhys's murderer came to escaping justice, and how in the end the simple courage shown by some of those involved in these events, and their refusal to be intimidated, led to the conviction of Sean Mercer and others involved in Rhys's murder. “The part Merseyside Police and especially Detective Superintendent Dave Kelly played in this cannot be over-estimated. But beyond this we wanted to show the devastating effect the loss of our beloved son Rhys had on our family, and how the grieving process affected us long beyond the 'closure' of a guilty verdict. Though some may find what happened to us shocking we think it is right to tell the whole story." The drama is produced by Kwadjo Dajan (Cilla, The Widower Appropriate Adult as Development Producer) and directed by Paul Whittington (Cilla, The Widower, Mrs Biggs). Stephen Graham has been cast as SIO Dave Kelly who led the investigation into Rhys’s murder on behalf of Merseyside Police. Everton FC
