Up until last weeks game the results were coming and parts of the media were talking us up as a dark horse for the league, or a top 4 finish. On the other hand there were our critics saying we hadn't had a real test; maybe the Bournemouth defeat was our 1st real test but surely it's one we take inspiration from. Harry Arter & co were industrious; hungry for the ball and tidy on it - pretty basic stuff but as blues we know our football and these are characteristics we admire. Our Ronny summed things up well after the game so let's leave it that.. Crystal Palace come to L4 tomorrow, fans will have the Friday feeling and the old lady will be rocking. Scott Dann will be a loss in the Eagle's defence so we want Bo14sie to exploit this, terrorise his former team mates and get the crosses in for Rom to fly high and head home. 1 goal conceded vs Bournemouth shouldn't be warrant any changes in how Stek or the defence approach things; however we need them prepared for Benteke and Palaces wide men looking to cross. Attack wise tomorrow we need to mix our play to stress Palace, use the ball like Bournemouth did against us and we did against Sunderland in the 2nd half. We need the attacking midfield 3 to work it between them -think/move off the ball-; using the wide areas but by attracting McArthur/Ledley wide we open up space in the centre to thread through balls higher up the pitch to running players to slot the ball home inside the box. Goalkeeper, defence and the defensive midfield are sound and have gelled; tomorrow has to be the game where we see this from the attacking midfield and striker. The deep lads hungry for the ball and the attack lads tidy on it.. COYB!!

I hope Bolasie scores a hatrick lol. They'll be a stronger team than normal with their new firepower so we'll need to start well.

Night game under the lights. Special times. Hopefully the team responds. I would expect a couple of changes at least in the line-up
