As usual, there is plenty of activity going on in and around Goodison Park before Everton kick off their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace. Take a look below to find out what's going on at our various locations. THE FAN ZONEFormer Everton skipper Kevin Ratcliffe is dropping by to talk all things Everton, and he will be joined by a pair of Everton Ladies, forwards Claudia Walker and Rosella Ayane. There will be the usual picture quiz competition, with a £25 gift voucher up for grabs, and one of our ambassadors will be on hand to discuss Ronald Koeman's team selection as soon as it is released. For World Mental Health Day, Imagine Your Goals’ Johnny Garside will be on stage discussing the Everton in the Community programme. The Talk Liverpool mental health van will also be based in the Fan Zone. The Fans' Forum will also be in attendance discussing their search for three new members to take up positions. Activities kick off from 6pm with hosts Jennifer Jewell and Gav. MATCHDAY HUBArrived at Goodison early? Why not drop by the Matchday Hub? Housed in the Everton Free School a couple of minutes’ walk down Spellow Lane, it is the ideal place to spend time before kick-off, with plenty of food and drink on offer, including a Children’s Meal Deal offer of £4.50 and includes Chicken nuggets or Hot dog with fries and a soft drink. Dr David France will be signing copies of his new book 'Everton Crazy' - click here to find out more about his autobiography. The Hub particularly perfect for young Blues – with face painting, quizzes, crafts, football sessions and the chance to meet former players! ST LUKE’S CHURCHOpen prior to kick off, why not pop in for a cup of tea or coffee and brush up on your Everton history? The Heritage Society will be showing off memorabilia and exhibitions themed around the Blues’ rich history.

Midfield and a striker was needed and we didn't address either in my opinion despite signing Valencia on loan. We might scout somebody for January but I doubt it will be a striker. Mata would have been ideal. The Juan Mata rumours were absolute nonsense designed to let fans think the club were looking to sign big names. Surely every fan must now realise that the club are not going to do that. We're more looking to build a strong team based on reliable players. It didn't help our cause that we were billed as billionaires, as every target became expensive, yet our board made a profit by selling Stones to a truly rich club, which showed that we're still a million miles away from being a club that big name players want to join. All we'll get are players who care more about money, and that's not the type I want.
