I'm not as confident about winning this as I was. I thought at last our defenders had put their woes behind them and expected to smash West Brom but then look what happened.

Coleman's Cup CallSeamus Coleman says Everton's players cannot afford to dwell on Saturday's "frustrating" afternoon against West Bromwich Albion with the Blues just two games from Wembley. After a day where the Toffees registered 34 shots on goal compared to the Baggies’ solitary but decisive effort on target, attention now turns away from the Barclays Premier League and on to the Emirates FA Cup. Everton have already reached the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup this term and, with Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth offering the reward of a quarter-final berth in another competition, Coleman believes Roberto Martinez's men can take confidence from their impressive cup showings to date. "We’ve got to look to the FA Cup at the weekend and do the best we can,” said the Republic of Ireland international. "We’d love another cup run. We enjoyed the Capital One Cup this year and to get to Wembley would be special. "We’ll look to win at Bournemouth and improve for the rest of the season. It’s important to finish the campaign strongly - for us as professionals, for the Club we represent and for the fans. "We know we’re not where we want to be in the league. We have talented lads, but it’s no point having the talent if you’re not getting the results and that’s what we need to do.” Saturday's defeat saw the Blues slip down to 11th in the table, but such is the congestion this year they remain just six points off fifth place and European football. A rare blank going forward against West Brom may have looked costly on paper, but with a goal difference only bettered by the top four, Coleman knows it won’t take much to alter the standings. "We knew what to expect [from West Brom],” the right-back added. “We knew they were going to sit in and hope to get a set-piece, and that’s what they did. Getting that goal allowed them to sit back even more and defend their box, which is something they’re really good at. "That result is hard to take, but it’s not like we played badly. If we’d won that, it would have been three on the bounce in the league and the way the table is we know we can start clawing teams back."

I wonder if the Bournemouth manager will be licking his lips. Don't they all when they play us? It's getting to be a routine I'm not enjoying much and hopefully if the new owners come in they'll stop any nonsense.
