TEAM NEWSRoberto Martinez says young duo Tyias Browning and Brendan Galloway will continue to be assessed after sitting out England Under-21 duty.
However the pair are the only fresh injury concerns following the international break.
Mo Besic played 45 minutes of Bosnia’s 2-0 defeat to Ireland as he steps up his comeback.
A late decision will be made on Leighton Baines but Phil Jagielka, Tony Hibbert and Bryan Oviedo will all sit out.
For Aston Villa, Jordan Amavi is out after damaging his cruciate ligaments. Jores Okore is still retruning from a long-term knee injury, while Gabby Agbonlahor is a doubt after sitting out the 0-0 draw with Manchester City.
Fellow striker Rudy Gestede will have a late fitness check after picking up a knock in action for Benin.
FORMAston Villa currently sit bottom of the Premier League table having picked up just one win from their 12 games this season.
Their only victory this campaign came on the opening day of the season when they clinched a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Bournemouth.
Since that victory, Villa have struggled to find form but fans will be hoping the recent arrival of new boss Remi Garde will be the start of a turnaround at Villa Park.
And the early indications are positive. In what was Garde’s first game in charge, the Villans earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw at home to league leaders Manchester City.
Everton, however, will be hoping to build on their last outing prior to the international break, a creditable 1-1 draw at West Ham United.
LAST MEETINGEverton 3-0 Aston Villa, Saturday 18 October 2014
The return of Ross Barkley coincided with Everton’s first home win of the 2014/15 season as they beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Goodison Park.
A knee injury on the eve of the new season had sidelined the England international but, thrown straight into the action, he put in a 65-minute shift against Villa and provided the spark to inspire victory.
Phil Jagielka opened the scoring with his second goal of the campaign before good work from Barkley allowed Romelu Lukaku to double the Toffees lead.
Leighton Baines then set up Seamus Coleman for the Republic of Ireland international to net the third and wrap up the win.
MANAGER – REMI GARDE
Aston Villa appointed Remi Garde as their new manager on a three-and-a-half-year deal at the start of November.
The Frenchman, 49, succeeded Tim Sherwood and led his new side to a 0-0 draw with leaders Manchester City in his first game in charge.
Garde left Lyon in 2014 after guiding the French outfit to league finishes of fourth, third and fifth during three seasons. Formerly of Arsenal while still a player, Garde lifted the Coupe de France back in 2012.
KEY MAN – RUDY GESTEDE
Aston Villa secured the services of Rudy Gestede from Blackburn Rovers on a five-year contract back in July.
Gestede reportedly attracted interest from a host of clubs after scoring 22 goals in 44 games for Rovers last season but ultimately decided on a move to Villa Park.
And the striker announced his arrival at the Midlands club in style by netting the winning goal on his debut in the opening day of the season victory at Bournemouth.
The 27-year-old worked his way through the youth ranks at FC Metz before joining Cardiff in 2011, where he helped the Welsh outfit to secure promotion to the top-flight.
However, he found first team chances limited with the Bluebirds and joined Rovers on loan in 2013 before moving permanently to Ewood Park back in January 2014.
