Howard coming off wouldn't have made a difference. Our defence is still *****. Anyone else worried that Martinez isn't the great one we thought he might be. When he was 1st linked to us I was worried about our defence. He quickly changed that but now I think I might be right. Shame as if he could focus on keeping our defence tight while looking to get our attack going then we might be a good team. Anyway, I wouldn't bother about looking upwards towards CL we need to get enough points in to finish mid-table. I hope our attackers give Distin and Jags a right telling off as they must be tired this season of doing their jobs while the 2 wallies at the back act like the Chuckle Brothers. If Besic was going to make things worse, this was the perfect game to do it in, as it will be easily forgotten. Good spectacle for the neutral, and great advert for the league, but questions need to be asked why we leak 6 goals and the same defenders are still on the pitch week in week out. The last time Chelsea scored 6 away was at Wigan, and I can see that causing Martinez a headache as the fans get kneejerky and demand answers. Hopefully we can buy a good defender who is capable of truly pushing one of our CB's for a place. 3 games in, and too many crazy errors.

It's not funny is it? It's as though Martinez feels our defenders are untouchable. How do you ship 6 goals and not make a single change to defense until the 89th minute when Besic pretty much topped it off by trying to be clever with a stupid mistake. He should have realized Jagielka was having a mare by the 2nd goal and took him off, and if Alcaraz isn't good enough to break things up then why on earth is he in the squad? Yes, we have had a hard start, but the opposition doesn't turn us into a blubbering mass of uselessness; we do that ourselves.
Naismith and Coleman looked great yet again, at least going forward. What the ***** was Howard thinking catching the ball a yard outside the box? It's a red card offense but then to make matters worse he puts his face into Costa's which could also be classed as a red card offense, but if we want to take him off next week, we have Robles, who is a ***** nightmare so far, so it's not just defenders we need.
Eto'o looked good value from his 30 minutes and nice to see him get on the scoresheet but starting to wonder if spending nearly 30 million on Lukaku could be a mistake, when we need to shake things up in other areas.

Lost for words for what I watched today. Need more Vino to soften the blow!

Still not sure what to make of the game, thought Coleman was outstanding at times. Hazard was playing as a 2nd fullback, just a bit unlucky with the own goal. Attacking wise looked very good just a shame defensively we were a shambles.
I have to question Martinez on substitutes, it was clear to see that Barry's legs had gone and needed replaced in the middle as Chelsea were winning the battle.
Gutted but hopefully Martinez will now know that he's priority now is to get a Centre back in before deadline is shut, I would take Curtis Davis from Hull.
