When you look at how Barcelona dealt with Manchester City then look at how Manchester City dominated us, it doesn't bear thinking about in terms of how far behind we have fallen, and how unlikely it is that Moshiri can change the situation. City must have spent a billion since the take over and still they're light years behind Barcelona.

In my opinion, we should start looking to add assists and goals. This means central midfielders and Strikers, not wingers, as we no longer dominate in the middle, and for me that's where games are won and lost. Agreed. We are too reliant on Lukaku. We need a dominate midfielder someone who can pick out a pass and get in the box (or outside) and score goals. Koeman could do with looking at the way my midfielders get forward in my FIFA 17 game. Barkley should be doing that really but he doesn't seem to have a B game. We used to have Pienaar, Fellaini, Arteta, Cahill etc who all offered something in midfield, but our midfield is slim on the ground in terms of central players. I know Pienaar often played on either side but he was still a good creative midfielder, as was Osman on his day. Gibson can pass a ball around, but despite his new contract seems unlikely to get back in the team. Younger players such as Davies and Dowell might be worth looking at. Mane went to Liverpool, but he would have been useful, and I was surprised not to see Koeman bring him, even if I thought he was a diving little cheat. Still, with Barkley, Deulofeu, Mirallas, and Bolasie, you'd expect a lot more goals and assists, so maybe the key is to play 2 strikers.

We've only kept 2 clean sheets so far against Stoke and Sunderland, both of whom are in the relegation zone, so that would be a good place to start if we want to talk about our defending. 3 games ended up 1-1 so these are the sort of things that cost you points.
