I'm inclined to think the rumours of big name players were far fetched, but I love the word 'Whever'. We definitely need to buy players, but they don't have to be expensive, just competent. If I was a manager, I'd know how I wanted to play, and I'd buy players who would enable me to achieve this. Then if it went wrong, it would be because my method wasn't working. Currently, I see a mish mash of Moyes / Martinez / Koeman, and I don't think it works. Presently, I'd like to see us play with goalscorers, and we lack that. I believe that's where Walsh comes into it. I'm prepared to give the mangager time as we're not a draw for top players at the moment. If we can find gems it'll be great but I can imagine most fans will have a moan that we're not buying the best players and getting nobodies. I'm sure Koeman knows how he wants us to play. He keeps going on about the team not pressing enough and he's bought a few work horses to get the team working harder. In all honesty, this transfer window has been pretty bad. We needed a playmaker and striker as our play in the final third is rubbish and I don't even want to think about what happens if Lukaku gets injured. Finding great players before they become famous is what Moyes and his scouting team used to do. Paying 30m for a Winger has nothing to do with scouting.

When you look at how Barcelona dealt with Manchester City then look at how Manchester City dominated us, it doesn't bear thinking about in terms of how far behind we have fallen, and how unlikely it is that Moshiri can change the situation.

Bolasie was someone Koeman had admired since he was at Southampton. We paid over the odds but this season everybody's been paying over the odds and if Palace never really wanted to sell him then why not try and put his price up at a premium? Personally, I'd rather we got to a stage where we can just buy top players rather than keep looking and hoping someone from the Champiosnhip might turn out real good for us. How many complaints were made when under Moyes we were buying Simon Davies and Per Kuldrop?

This means central midfielders and Strikers, not wingers, as we no longer dominate in the middle, and for me that's where games are won and lost.

We need a dominate midfielder someone who can pick out a pass and get in the box (or outside) and score goals. Koeman could do with looking at the way my midfielders get forward in my FIFA 17 game.
