Ashley Williams has quickly formed a strong understanding with Phil Jagielka because they ‘know what each other wants’.The centre-halves have started the last three Premier League games together and have conceded just one goal in that time - Maarten Stekelenburg’s controversial own goal against Middlesbrough. Williams is expected to be reunited with Jagielka for this weekend’s match at Bournemouth after the skipper was rested for the EFL Cup tie with Norwich City. The pair boast over 1,000 career appearances between them and Williams believes they have struck up an immediate rapport. “I’m enjoying playing with him, he’s a good communicator so we both talk to each other which is half the job really,” Williams said of the Everton captain. “We’ve played a lot of games between us so we’re experienced and know what the other person would want. “It’s just about us trying to form a bond as quickly as possible and trying to keep as many clean sheets as possible.” By Phil Kirkbride / Echo

I reckon Jags and Williams spend a lot of time in the showers.

We certainly look a more solid unit this season. we'll know more when we play a good side. We've not really been tested by anybody yet.
