West Ham fans have received a warning letter from Olympic Stadium neighbours, The CRATE Brewery. The letter was handed out to supporters in the build up to West Ham’s home match against Accrington Stanley on Wednesday and outlines the Brewery’s expected behaviour of visiting fans. The correspondence details that no Hammers merchandise may been worn on the premises after matches and prevents fans from chanting songs of support for their club. The letter goes on to say that any supporter that falls foul of their rulings will be ejected from the Brewery. West Ham made the switch from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium this summer after winning the rights for the ground. The claret and blue outfit occupied their previous east London home for 112 years before making the move to Stratford. The summer switch to the 60,000 capacity Olympic venue has been tainted by fan violence at recent matches. Issues reached peak levels during the club’s 4-2 loss to Watford on Saturday 10th September as poor stewarding and fan fighting led to pandemonium in the crowd.
