Jordan Pickford earned his 54th England cap as the Three Lions preserved their perfect record in EURO 2024 qualifying with a resounding 7-0 win over North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The Everton keeper played the full contest, with Gareth Southgate's men making it four wins from four in Group C courtesy of hat-tricks from Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane, and Kalvin Phillips' late strike.
Meanwhile, Vitalii Mykolenko helped Ukraine keep up the pressure on England in Group C with a crucial 1-0 victory against Malta.
The Blues left-back was brought on at the start of the second half for Mykola Matviienko as Viktor Tsygankov’s 72nd-minute penalty moved Ukraine to second in the table, six points behind the Three Lions with a game in hand ahead of the two nations meeting on 9 September.
This was Ukraine’s third match in seven days, with Mykolenko involved in each contest for his country.
In other Everton international news, Demarai Gray has been called up by Jamaica for the first time ahead of their upcoming Concacaf Gold Cup campaign.
The Blues forward will be part of the Reggae Boyz' squad that will start their tournament against hosts and defending champions USA on June 24.
Elsewhere, Idrissa Gana Gueye was a late substitute as Senegal drew 1-1 against Benin in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday night.
Senegal had already qualified for the finals next year, having won all of their previous qualifying matches, but added to their points tally with a draw away from home.
Gana replaced Krepin Diatta in the 87th minute and is likely to be involved again on Tuesday night as they take on Brazil in a friendly.
On Sunday evening, Alex Iwobi completed 90 minutes as Nigeria joined Senegal in booking their qualification place at next year’s Africa Cup Of Nations.
Iwobi played the full game, helping the Super Eagles beat Sierra Leone 3-2 in dramatic circumstances.
Nigeria raced into a two-goal lead with a double from Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
A goal before half-time for Sierra Leone and a late equaliser made it seem like Nigeria would have to wait for qualification, but a stoppage-time winner from Kelechi Iheanacho ensured Iwobi’s country would be competing at AFCON next year.

Youssef Chermiti has been selected for Portugal Under-20s' upcoming fixtures against Poland and Romania.
It is the first time the 19-year-old striker, who completed a move to Everton from Sporting CP last month, has been called up by the age group, having scored three goals in four appearances at Under-19 level.
Portugal Under-20s, who are managed by former Porto and Sporting CP midfielder Bino, face a U20 Elite League double header, with a trip to Poland on 8 September before taking on Romania on home soil on 12 September.

From the club ...
Jarrad Branthwaite has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad for their upcoming EURO qualifier to undergo planned treatment with Everton for a minor groin issue sustained in the summer while on international duty.
The 21-year-old Blues defender was called up by the young Lions for a match away to Luxembourg on Monday 11 September but it was agreed he would remain at Finch Farm for treatment with the Club’s medical staff.
Branthwaite, who has started the past two Premier League matches for Sean Dyche’s side, is expected to be fit after the current international break.
