Jordan Pickford produced an excellent solo display as England defeated Senegal 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Everton goalkeeper Pickford was called upon several times during a shaky start from the Three Lions, with the pick of the saves coming when the 28-year-old denied Boulaye Dia's powerful angled shot with a firm hand.
Jude Bellingham played a pivotal role in the opener on 38 minutes - and the Borussia Dortmund midfielder also began the move for England’s second of the evening as Harry Kane capped off a fine move to put England in a commanding position on the stroke of half-time.
It was a quieter second period for Pickford, in truth, and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka sealed Gareth Southgate's side's win just before the hour mark.
Pickford’s Club teammate Conor Coady was an unused substitute at the Al Bayt Stadium.
The result means Idrissa Gana Gueye, who missed the match through suspension, will play no further part in the tournament.
Gana had started all three group games for the Lions of Teranga and, in doing so, became Senegal’s joint most-capped player (99).

Everton’s Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gana Gueye both played the full 90 minutes in dominant victories on Friday night.
Gana reached an incredible landmark, as he made his 100th appearance for Senegal in their 5-1 thrashing over Mozambique, while Onana shone amongst a star-studded Belgium team in their 3-0 away victory over Sweden.
Gana featured in the Senegalese midfield, as they dominated their opponents to pick up a comfortable victory. He managed to show his technical capabilities, making 103 touches, as well as completing 90% of his passes, including all four of his long passes.
The 33-year-old played the full game to mark a century of appearances as his Senegal side earned the stunning win in the third matchday of AFCON qualifiers.
Meanwhile, over in Sweden, Onana started for Belgium alongside Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrasco in Belgium’s first UEFA European Championship qualifier of the campaign.
The 21-year-old displayed a dominant midfield performance, winning all five of his aerial duels, completing 87% of his passes, and winning an impressive six out of his nine ground duels.
His showing helped Domenico Tedesco’s team to keep a clean sheet, while former Blue, Romelu Lukaku fired in a hat-trick to win the three points for Belgium.
Elsewhere, Alex Iwobi also played 90 minutes, but his Nigeria team suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Guinea Bissau, despite dominating much of the game in Abuja, Nigeria.

Amadou Onana will not feature for Belgium in upcoming internationals due to a minor groin injury.
The Everton midfielder was bidding to play in the Red Devils' home match against Austria on Saturday 17 June and trip to Estonia three days later on Tuesday 20 June.
However, Onana is unavailable because of the issue and will return to Finch Farm to be treated by Club medical staff, where he is expected to be fit for the start of Everton’s pre-season training next month.
