Yacine Brahimi has been allowed to leave Algeria's training camp today to finalise a move from FC Porto to another club, with rumours that he has flown to Merseyside to hold talks with Everton. The French-born forward has been the subject of speculation linking him with the Blues in recent days, with a reported €30m offer on the table. He has also been strongly linked with Galatasaray but it's uncertain whether the Turkish club could match Everton's bid. Only last month when they were being linked with a permanent move for Oumar Niasse, the Turkish club's coach, Jan Olde Riekerink, told reporters: “Let's not worry about players for next season, we can't afford our players this year." A report by Rádio Renascença in Portugal confirms that the Algerian Football Federation granted Brahimi leave today but they don't speculate on whether his final destination will be England or Turkey. The Guardian's Ed Aarons, however, reports that Everton and Porto are in negotiations over a fee but that nothing has been agreed yet. Rumours on Twitter from France and closer to home suggested earlier today that the 26-year-old flew into the northwest today and is in Liverpool while O Jogo in Portugal also indicated initially that Brahimi might already in England as the two clubs hammer out a deal before withdrawing that claim in favour of a more circumspect view that Brahimi could still stay with Porto. Has this one gone tits up now?

It seems that Porto’s reluctance in accepting a reasonable offer for Yacine Brahimi during the summer has cost them a few million. According to reports from that time, Everton were very interested in signing the Algerian winger for then new manager Ronald Koeman. But the clubs couldn’t find a deal, as Porto were reportedly asking for up to €40m. Brahimi wasn’t even being included in match-day squads by the time, such was the transfer expectation, so Porto’s demands sounded quite ridiculous.
Both Porto and the player want a move, and even though the board still believe they can make some money by selling him, it’s just impossible they’ll ask the same as in the summer. As reported by A Bola today, a January move is very likely. They explain Brahimi will be featuring in the African Cup of Nations, which will certainly attract many scouts from big clubs. However, that competition starts on January 14th, which would leave everything very late indeed. If Everton haven’t given up on the idea of signing him, and Ronald Koeman facnies another go, the time is now.

Everton should take a chance on one of the strikers who can't get a game for the big clubs over here and loan them until the summer. We should have took the risk with Bony while we had the chance.

Porto winger Yacine Brahimi is being linked with a move to the Premier League.
The Algerian has been outstanding for Porto in the recent years and he would be a cracking addition to the Premier League.
As per the reports (translated by SportWitness), Brahimi is a target for Everton.
The Toffees could certainly use some flair and creativity in their attack and the 28-year-old would be an ideal addition to Allardyce’s squad.
The Porto star is more than just a creator. Brahimi has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Porto this season and he would add goals to the Everton side as well.
It will be interesting to see whether the Toffees can agree on a fee with Porto now. They won’t be the only suitors for the Algerian and there could be a bidding war if the player is made available.
Whoever ends up signing Brahimi will get a quality attacker at the peak of his powers. Everton fans will be hoping Moshiri’s millions can sway the deal in their favour.
