Jones Hoping For Better PerformancesAfter four wins and two draws in the opening six games of the season, Kelly Jones is hoping for better performances Kelly Jones’ equaliser ensured Everton go into the mid-season break unbeaten in the FA Women’s Super League. The draw means that the Toffees drop down to second, behind Yeovil, but do boast a game in hand on the Lady Glovers. Despite the unbeaten run, the winger insists the Blue Girls could – and should – have done even better. “It’s a massive disappointment to have only drawn,” she said. “We came here expecting three points and nothing less than that was really good enough. “The performance wasn’t up to our usual standards, and even in the second-half when we equalised it still wasn’t at the level we expect it to be. “It was our application, our attitude – we need to get back to basics. When we get back to basics we’ll play teams off the park." Out of the six games played so far, Everton have won four and drawn twice against Millwall. “We’re happy to be unbeaten, but there is frustration too because we should be going into the break having won every game we’ve played so far. "We need to start taking our chances. We showed today that, as poor as we were, we could still have won easily had we done so.”
