Dan Turner Promises More GoalsBlues winger is confident her goals can ensure her side can secure promotion. Danielle Turner has vowed to contribute as many goals as possible to the Everton Ladies this season as they fight for promotion to WSL 1. The Blues face Millwall Lionesses on Sunday at 2pm as they continue their bid to remain top of the league. And the side's joint top-scorer from the 2015 campaign thinks she is on target to improve on last season's tally. But despite her ambitions, Turner is happy for the goals to come from any player, as long as her side wins by a big margin. She said: "We've been working on combination play and being decisive in the final third. I think it's pleasing we are winning by a few goals because maybe last season we weren't finishing teams off. "We are showing some bright play and I'm enjoying being able to take advantage of that. I was top goalscorer last season and hopefully I can contribute even more goals this year. "First and foremost it is a team effort because getting as many goals as possible is pivotal, especially because promotion could come down to goal difference at the end of the year." Andy Spence's side sit top of the league with a goal difference of +10, but Turner thinks there is still a lot the squad can improve upon in terms of their performances. She added: "Overall we're happy with the results but we need to start get the basics right in the first half rather than relying on our second half performances. "We have been going into the changing room disappointed at the end of 45 mins, but we seem to be coming out fighting after the break. "We just seem to take time to come out of the blocks and that is something we have been addressing over the last few weeks to ensure it doesn't happen again. "There is still a lot more to come from us. We are no where near the level performance we know we can achieve."
