The 2015/16 season may have drawn to its conclusion - but David Unsworth will continue to be a busy man right throughout the summer. Unsworth stepped up to take temporary charge of Everton’s first team last week and guided the Blues to an impressive 3-0 final-day victory against Norwich City - an experience the Goodison favourite labelled as an "honour". The 42-year-old’s attentions turned back to his regular job as Under-21s coach at the start of the week as he began plotting the team’s route to more success, following an impressive campaign in which the Young Blues finished third in the league. And, in amongst his summer schedule, Unsworth intends to make a working trip over to France to watch a number of matches at the European Championships, which begin on 10 June. “I will be planning the Under-21s’ pre-season for the next couple of weeks - I am looking forward to doing that,” Unsworth told evertontv. “I will then get away with the family, which will be great, and then we will be in and available to the players all the time from that point. "The players will come back and, before you know it, you are back into it all again. “The Euros will be great and I’d like to get over and watch a few games, which would be a nice experience. “I’d like to go over and look at the games as a coach, look at the individual players, but enjoy them as a fan as well. “Then, it will be the end of June and we will be back at it, getting the lads ready for next season.”
