Let's just say the Southampton fans weren't Saints.
I was only 15 back then and wasn't allowed to go to away games as in those days hooliganism was at it's worst but if you read any reports it was the Southampton lads who ran on to the pitch and attacked the Everton fans while they were celebrating, so those discussing it on the Saints forum might want to consider that.
At the end of the day, it was 1984, and it's a bit silly to be bringing it up every time we play each other.
Can we get back to the match now lads please?

It says so right here. www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48283-EVERTON-MATCH-questionnaire-for-Love-Everton-Forum#.Ur8kFPRdV8EThe soft tw@ts were playing div 1 footy only a few years ago until they got bailed out so I laughed when this cheeky ***** had the nerve to say we have been in mid-table obscurity.

We were talking about Shaw as a possible replacement for Baines but now Oviedo has put himself in the picture with great displays so I think if Baines did leave we'll be ok. I'd take Coleman over Clyne as I reckon Coleman on form is the most exciting Rightback in the league but Clyne is only 22 so has a few years to get there. I like your striker Lambert and he should go to the WC as he looked good when he was given a chance. LLalana has been linked with United today but I don't know much about him before this season. With respect mate, if you cannot afford Lukaku then you cannot afford Shaw. Thanks to our swiss ownership and ruthless b*stard chairman we are very unlike the Saints of old, we have no requirement to sell. If he does go it will probably be to Chelsea who are his boyhood team but that would be a couple of years away I believe. Oviedo has looked excellent for you.... I should save your money. Adam Lallana has rebuffed a link away in the Mirror today, again, it would take mega money even to get a chance to talk, he is on a long term contract and has been with us since he was 13 when he joined from Bournemouth. On the off chance we do sell it'll be with a 25% sell on clause with the Cherries as the beneficiaries in mind!! I cannot see it though, he is settled in the South with his young wife and child, has already broken into the England squad without the need to go to a team playing in Europe and as far as I am aware is utterly in love with life currently. If he goes to the world cup it will be very easy for his head to be turned once he starts talking to the top 4 players. I'd be surprised if United bought him unless they signed Moyes in order to find bargains, as they can buy any player in the world so why buy an inexperienced one?
Brian Oviedo is only 23 and looks a real attacking full back. Moyes really did well for us in that respect.
