Matthew Pennington and Calum Dyson this week paid a visit to an Everton School Supporters’ Club in Newton-le-Willows. The Blues duo met a group of pupils at Hope Academy to discuss the importance of healthy eating, before rolling their sleeves up to get involved in a Food Technology lesson. More than 15 members of the Supporters’ Club then took part in a Q&A session with the pair and signed photographs for the young supporters. Pennington, who made his Premier League debut in the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth last weekend, spoke about his experiences with Roberto Martinez’s first team this campaign, while Dyson spoke about what it is like to come through the Club’s esteemed Academy system. Defender Pennington said: “Calum and I really enjoyed the afternoon. It’s always good to be able to meet supporters and it was impressive to see the importance they place on healthy living. “Hopefully it was nice for them to be able to ask about my my season so far as well. It’s been a great one for me, playing in the Capital One Cup, FA Cup and then the Premier League. It really has been is a dream come true for me and hopefully there is plenty more to come.” Schools wishing to register their interest in becoming a School Supporters’ Club can do so by filling in the form below.
