Everton Under-21s are aiming to return to winning ways on Monday evening when Reading travel to the Merseyrail Community Stadium. After winning three straight league matches since the turn of the year, the Young Blues were edged out by the odd goal in five at Sunderland at the start of last week. Now David Unsworth’s side will be aiming to begin another unbeaten run against the sixth-placed Royals. Everton sit one place above Reading but that is only on goal difference, with both teams having accumulated 23 points so far this term. However, the Toffees do have four games in hand over their opponents, having played only 15 matches compared to Reading’s 19. A victory on Monday evening would see Everton climb a place as fourth-placed Chelsea are not in action. Kick-off at Southport is 7pm. Entry to the game is free for Season Ticket holders and FOREVERTON members or otherwise £5 for adults and £3 for concessions on the turnstile.
