Everton Under-18s now know their competition as they seek to regain the Premier Academy League title. Having finished second only on goal difference behind Manchester City in the North Division, the young Blues will now compete in a final league phase against seven other clubs. The Toffees will play City, Chelsea, Reading, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham United once each, home or away, as the top four teams from the North and South combine to decide the overall league winner. The team that finishes top of this new table, Group 1, will be crowned Premier League champions – a title Everton last held in 2014 before coming within 90 minutes of retaining it last season. The run-in starts with a trip to the Royals on Saturday 5 March, though full fixtures are yet to be confirmed.
