KICK IT OUT - WBA game is 'Match Of Action'Saturday’s game against West Bromwich Albion has been designated as Blues’ Kick It Out Match of Action, and a host of activities will be taking place in and around the stadium to celebrate diversity across Merseyside. Everton’s support of Kick it Out is complemented by the work of Everton in the Community and, all year round, the Blues’ official charity works with Kick It Out and other leading organisations to encourage equality and diversity across Merseyside, and is committed to supporting all members of the community, regardless of their race, gender, creed or sexual orientation. There will be the opportunity to get involved with some disability sports coaching sessions in the Matchday Hub. Delivered by Everton in the Community Disability staff and Everton Ladies, you can try your hand at blind football, sitting volleyball, new age curling and boccia from 1pm up until kick-off. Members of Everton Disabled Supporters Association will also be present in the Matchday Hub to share information about EDSA and answer any questions about facilities for disabled supporters at Goodison Park. Meanwhile, on the Fan Zone, the Rainbow Toffees will be on stage to talk about their work in raising awareness of LGBT in the sports world and Everton in the Community Disability Manager Steve Johnson will also be speaking about the charity’s reputation as being one of the most respected disability programmes in the world. There will also be a variety of Kick It Out giveaways in the Fan Zone including wristbands, pens, stickers and clapperboards. There is a limited number available so get down there early to avoid disappointment. In advance of Saturday’s fixture, Kick It Out Next 20 ambassador Romelu Lukaku visited Longmoor Community Primary School to speak to a Year Six class about the importance of understanding and accepting different cultures and religion and what to do if you experience racism. Established in 1993, Kick It Out is a campaigning organisation which enables, facilitates and works with the football authorities, professional clubs, players, fans and communities to tackle all forms of discrimination. Blues’ leading goalscorer Lukaku has signed the t-shirt he wore to his visit to Longmoor Primary School.
