It would be a rare event. Does he even score in training?

Beware the wounded animal. That’s the message Roberto Martinez has issued to his players as Everton prepare to face at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon. The Baggies scraped past Peterborough United on penalties in the FA Cup on Wednesday but in Premier League action they are winless in five matches. Last time out in the top-flight, they were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle United at St James’ Park - the ‘worst performance playing away from home’ of Tony Pulis’ reign, according to the 58-year-old West Brom boss. “There is a reaction in this [West Brom] team,” Martinez told evertontv. “I think their performance in the first half against Newcastle is going to spark a reaction, so we know that we will have to be at our very best. “That’s the most dangerous aspect of this West Brom side. “We all know Tony Pulis’ teams are always competitive and well-organised defensively. They have a clear structure and are capable of getting a result against anyone because they have a goalscoring threat in many different ways.” Martinez has challenged his team to repeat the efforts from 10 days ago, when Newcastle were emphatically dispatched 3-0 in the previous Goodison outing. It was one of the most complete team performances from Everton on home soil this term. The manager added: “We are in a confident moment and are looking forward to being at Goodison and looking forward to carrying on the standards we have showed within the last three games. “We have only got six games left at Goodison and we want to take advantage of that. We know if there is an area in this season in which we can improve, it’s the results that we have had at home. “It’s not the level we have played - we have done many good things in disappointing results - but it’s about finding the complete performance which becomes a win at the end. “We are looking forward to turning that round and creating a very good home record in the final six games of the season.”
