Everton youngster Nathan Broadhead has signed his first professional contract, keeping him at the Club until the end of the 2016/17 season. The 17-year-old forward has been a regular for the Under-18s this campaign, netting nine goals so far. After the joining the club aged 10 following spells with Bangor City and Wrexham, the Wales youth international says he was delighted to finally put pen to paper on a senior deal with the Blues. “I’m really pleased,” he told evertonfc.com. “It’s been a long journey, I moved away from home when I was 12 and ever since then I’ve been trying to kick on, working hard and now I’m here so I couldn’t be happier. “I was made up when I first found out about the contract. Sean Lundon gave me the call and said I was going to get offered a contract so I was really made up. “This season has been good for me. I just need to keep on working hard in training and in the games you’ll get your rewards.” Broadhead is now aiming to help the Under-18s secure a second Premier League title in three years - as well as looking to make the jump up to David Unsworth’s Under-21 side. He added: “We’ve had a bad spell over the last few weeks but we are looking to keep on kicking on, doing well as a team and hopefully we can get up there and challenge for the league. “We are looking to push on, do things well as a team and hopefully we can get up there and challenge for the league. “I’m always looking to make that step up to David Unsworth’s side as well. I just need to keep working hard, then hopefully he recognises that and I can get a shot at playing for the Under-21s.”

The bits I've seen of him I like. Let's hope he progresses well.
