Team NewsTim Howard is an injury doubt ahead of Everton’s home Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
The American suffered a knock in training and will be monitored in the lead-up to Wednesday evening’s clash at Goodison.
Should Howard not be fit to face the Magpies, Joel Robles will continue in goal having played in the two previous cup matches against Manchester City and Carlisle United.
Martinez reported no other fresh injury concerns from Sunday’s trip to Brunton Park.
Kevin Mirallas is unlikely to have recovered from his knee problem in time to face Steve McClaren’s side, while Muhamed Besic is definitely out due to a hamstring injury.
For the visitors, new signing Andros Townsend could make his Magpies debut but deadline-day acquisition Seydou Doumbia will not be available as he awaits a visa.
Jack Colback and Paul Dummett, meanwhile, could return from injuries.
FormEverton host the Magpies on the back of a comfortable 3-0 victory over Carlisle United in the FA Cup fourth round last weekend.
Goals from Arouna Kone, Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley ensured the Blues’ place in the fifth round draw as Roberto Martinez’s side finished a busy January, which included eight games in three competitions, on a positive note.
Newcastle, however, have not played since 23 January after exiting the FA Cup in the third round with a 1-0 away defeat at Watford.
Steve McClaren’s side registered one win from their five games last month - a 2-1 triumph over West Ham United.

Tom Cleverley headed a late, late winner to earn Everton a dramatic Boxing Day 1-0 win over Newcastle United.
The midfielder struck in the third minute of stoppage time to net his first for the Club and clinch a hard-earned - but deserved - three points at a rain-drenched St James’ Park.
Cleverley managed to loop a half-cleared corner up and over Rob Elliot, who had performed excellently throughout to keep the Toffees at bay.
The Newcastle keeper had earlier made a series of top-drawer saves to deny Romelu Lukaku, Aaron Lennon and Ramiro Funes Mori.
It had seemed Elliot’s heroics had been enough to frustrate the Blues - but Cleverley had other ideas, netting with what was Everton’s 20th attempt on goal throughout the course of the game.
Key Man: Georginio Wijnaldum
The summer signing from PSV Eindhoven has quickly adapted to life in the Premier League with Newcastle.
The attacking midfielder already has nine goals, including four in the 6-2 victory over Norwich City back October, and three assists to his name so far this season.
A Holland international, Wijnaldum also has 24 caps and four goals for his country.
