I think even halewoodblue will have to accept that Besic has earned a starting place after his last 2 displays. I thought he was going to get booked early on but fair play to the referee. Let's not celebrate though, as it's only half time, and lots to play for. Thought the reaction to his performance was way over the top. Yes did lot of decent things but then either lost the ball quickly or played a dreadful pass. The run in the first half was perfect example. Wasn't a great performance but in the cup it's all about results. We will have to do a lot better at the Etihad though You're such a hater you beast.

My favourite Everton player at present is John Stones, closely followed by Romelu Lukaku.

What about the older players that remain from the Moyes era, or has your head now been turned by a new love, and the old one resigned to the laundry room? PS. If you look for the quote button top right of somebodies posts, and press it, it will include 'their' post in your reply, so guys know who you are replying to, plus that person will get a notification that you've replied to them specifically.

Ok you've got me there. I personally think that Gareth Barry, Brian Oviedo and Jags are favourites also even though Jags and Oviedo have been absentees for a while. I think both bring stability to the team where one or two others can't.

It's been a difficult ride under Martinez, and I've kind of disassociated a little if that makes sense.
