Conor Grant was on the scoresheet again as his loan side Doncaster Rovers recorded a dramatic victory over this weekend. The Liverpol-born midfielder netted his fourth goal of the campaign for the Vikings before Darren Ferguson’s side conceded in second-half added time, then scored twice themselves to secure a vital 3-2 victory which sees them climb to 15th in League One. Speaking after the game, manager Ferguson praised the form of the 20-year-old. He said: “I don’t want to give him too much praise because someone else will try and pinch him. “We know what he can do. He’s really playing with a lot of freedom.“He’s got a really good attitude towards the game. “He knows he’s got to learn, he wants to work hard on certain things and he’s always out after training. That will stand him in good stead. “The boy will have a really good career. At what level is probably down to him.” Watch Grant’s goal here: Full-back Felipe Mattioni, also on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium, missed the game through injury. In the Championship, Luke Garbutt played 90 minutes for Fulham as the Cottagers recorded a 2-2 home draw with Brentford in Stuart Gray’s first game in charge as caretaker boss. In League One, Francisco Junior was an unused substitute for Wigan Athletic as the Latics slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Blackpool. The result meant Blackpool leapfrogged David Henen’s Fleetwood Town, with both sides just above the relegation zone, with Fleetwood’s home game against Walsall was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Henen's loan spell with the Cod Army has since been extended until 2 January. In League Two, Ryan Ledson again played the full game as Cambridge United’s climb up the table continued with a 2-1 away victory over Plymouth Argyle. Profile Page

He's having a good time of it and it appears to be a good decision to loan him out. One for the future?
