Everton Under-21s welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Merseyrail Community Stadium on Monday night looking to extend their run of good form. The games are coming thick and fast for David Unsworth’s men, with several of the group playing for the Under-18s in the their Youth Cup defeat to Aston Villa on Friday. But the young Blues, fifth in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, have the opportunity to make it four unbeaten when Spurs head for Southport. An emphatic Liverpool Senior Cup win over Widnes preluded a morale-boosting victory in the derby over Liverpool, while the side picked up a point on the road against Reading in their previous outing. They face a team going well in the league - Spurs are second with 17 points - but Everton are no strangers to their opponents from north London. The sides played twice in August and traded 4-1 successes, with the Blues defeating them in the Premier League International Cup. Everton Under-21s kick off against Spurs at 7pm on Monday evening. Entry to the Merseyrail Community Stadium is free for Season Ticket holders and Foreverton members, with admission otherwise priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. For fans unable to attend, the official Everton Twitter account will be providing live updates, with a match report on evertonfc.com at the final whistle. Highlights and reaction will then be available on evertontv from Tuesday.

Everton Under-21s coach David Unsworth was full of praise for his players after the young Blues extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
Substitute Liam Walsh opened the scoring with 10 minutes remaining on Monday night but England international Andros Townsend equalised from the penalty spot just moments later.
Speaking after the game, Unsworth said he was pleased with his side’s performance - despite seeing them held.
“It was a really good game and I really enjoyed watching us tonight, I thought we were terrific," he told evertontv. “We had some great opportunities and I see that all the time.
"We’ve got good players, I thought our shape off the ball was fantastic and that gave us the platform when we got the ball to pass it really well.
"We did carve them out on numerous occasions, we got a great goal from Liam Walsh and, unfortunately, we conceded a penalty.
“I thought it was a really good game though, it was a tough game, Tottenham are a very good team and, in fairness, it’s a good point.”
Monday’s fixture was the third in eight days for the young Blues, while some players were also involved in Friday's FA Youth Cup match against Aston Villa.
Given the workload, Unsworth was delighted with the resilience shown by his players.
He added: “It was a really tough game for us with four games in eight days for a lot of the boys. That's monumental really considering the amount of work and the effort and desire they have put into the game tonight.
“We’ll shut the lads down now for a couple of days because it’s really important that they recover properly.
“The lads will be in the gym and do their recovery work and build up to next week for our last game before Christmas against Newcastle.”
