Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger a doubt for Everton match• Midfielder injured his thigh before Germany’s defeat by Ireland • Schweinsteiger could miss United’s trip to Goodison Park Bastian Schweinsteiger was forced to sit out the match in Dublin after picking up an injury in the warm-up. Bastian Schweinsteiger is a doubt for Manchester United’s visit to Everton on Saturday week after suffering a thigh injury during the warm-up for Germany’s 1-0 defeat by the Republic of Ireland on Thursday evening. Before the match the DFB’s official Twitter account said: “@bschweinsteiger picked up an injury during the pre-match warm-up and will miss the game.” The Germany coach, Joachim Löw, said the seriousness of the 31-year-old’s problem will be come clearer over the coming days: “For Schweinsteiger I will need to see. [Medical staff] said two or three days rest.” Germany’s loss means they require a point against Georgia to secure qualification for Euro 2016.

Rooney out of England's qualifiers but will no doubt be fit for our match. Would he be injured if he needed to score to break the record?

He's spent a lot since joining them so they have to be favourites. I just don't get how they sacked Moyes and then let this Dutch manager off the hook so much.
