I remember when growing up that Derby matches meant something to the players as well as the fans but sadly this match was synonymous with what I hate about modern football. Were was the blood, sweat and tears and wanting to die for the shirt. Too many players for me today (on both sides) just looked like they couldn't give a shit, which led to a pretty dour Derby match with nowhere near enough quality, yes there was moments but not enough. When are we going to learn to defend, I doubt we will under Martinez but its now 6 from 10 were we have gone behind and give ourselves the hard task of climbing the mountain to get just back on parity before we even think about winning, results like Wba will be few and far between as our team isn't good enough to do that regularly. Can all day and night as to whose fault the goal was, it doesn't matter to me, Ross left his man free in the 6 yd box and Howard stayed on his line which he always does but it all equals the same thing....a shocking goal to concede. For our goal, it was decent cross from Geri (only decent thing he did in a game which passed him by and it was an instinctive finish by Luka after poor defending. Neither side did enough in the 2nd to warrant a victory with the game fizzling on long before the end. Positives were Mori, after shaky start he came into the game well. Luka showed again that despite his many faults he knows how to finish and am sure I actually seen him control the ball (although it could have been a mirage). We didn't lose and that c**t Sturridge didn't get to do his silly dance. Negatives (Yes there is some), bad defending for the goal, behind again, Geri and Ross failed to show up, we still can't beat them and bottled chance to go 3rd, a unwillingness by the manager to go for it at home, god forbid we have 2 wingers on at the same time. In summary, a disappointing game in which both teams were not good enough.

Normally I would be happy sharing the points with that shower but they were there for us today if we'd showed a bit more. At least we didn't lose though and can go into the break in confident mood.
