So frustrating to watch. We really need to be beating teams like that if we want to compete for the top 4 position. I wonder if Rodriguez would have buried one of those chances? Have to put it behind us and make sure that was just a one off. Lukaku and Kone are not the answer. Kone works hard, but has little talent as a footballer, and Lukaku doesn't work hard enough, and has little talent as a footballer. Lennon should have been on instead of Kone so we could have gone wide on the Right side, as playing through the middle is no good with Lukaku up front as he can't play with his back to goal, and passes everything back instead of turning the defender.

That was awful..again. Barkley, Stones and the 2 yng 'full backs' had decent games but the rest stunk, especially Luka who looked more a league 2 clod hopper than a 28m buy and yet he still out performed the abysmal Kone. No idea how this guy gets minutes, he is ordinary in every way...sums up the Martinez era. Why bring Mirallas on in injury time when the game was screaming out for him, he must be gutted he signed that contract now. His red was v harsh, it was a tough challenge yes, but not a red for me

I was a bit weary of us playing with two wingers because it meant we had two many people pushing up (fullbacks) leaving us exposed but looking at delboy he knows how to put a cross in - mind you, I doubt any of our forwards would have scored Saturday - and Lennon / Mirallas are decent enough to score / create chances. Got to move on and just forget about it. Let it be our only off day.

It isn't an off day.
It is typical of Martinez to insist on playing Kone, a player who has been ineffective but because he has one good game gets a starting place every week. The majority of our play was going through the middle, with no success, yet Martinez hasn't yet identified that this brings us no success, in his 2 and a bit years here, and so continues to play this way.
He bought 2 Wingers, yet both are on the bench, and then brings on Mirallas cold expecting him to do something, which quite clearly he did. We struggled v Watford, and both Spurs and Swansea were there for the taking yet we were toothless upfront in both games, and we were just as toothless up front against City, yet folk make excuses by stating City are going to be champions so it is ok to lose. Moyes didn't have that attitude when we were beating City as champions. All bollocks.
We already knew we were toothless, and needed another Striker, and a playmaker, yet bought a player for £500k who is currently with the u21's, and spent £10m on a defender who is currently on the bench.
People will say a draw at Swansea is a good result. I say that is because Swansea have gotten better since Martinez left, and Everton worse since Martinez came.
