Review from Todd at Soccerchat.com
Aston Villa come in to week nine having lost a hard fought match against Tottenham Hotpur which puts them in 13th place in the league on ten points. Villa have been a rather inconsistent team this season having beaten both Arsenal and Manchester City, but also losing to Newcastle United and drawing at home to Hull City.
They have failed to score in their past two matches, but prior to that had put three past Manchester City.
They have averaged about 13 shots per game and just over one goal per game with a conversion rate of 8%. They have managed to vary their scoring of nine goals with four from open play, three from set pieces, one penalty and one from counter attacking.
They have had some struggles in passing with a success rate of 75%. This has shown in their possession statistics as well by maintaining only 41% of possession. This average only goes up to 42% at home.
Everton come into the match with an average of 58% possession and an 84% pass success rate. In addition they have scored 12 goals already this season from an average of 14 shots per game and a 10% conversion rate.
Everton are currently in seventh place with 15 points and a 4-3-1 record, their only loss being to Manchester City.
However, Everton have not won 11 of their last 12 away matches, with their last away win coming in their week four 3-2 win at West Ham. They also have not kept a clean sheet since their week three 1-0 home win over Chelsea.
My prediction is for a draw, however, this is one of those matches where anything could happen. Both teams have had some amount of inconsistencies this EPL season.
I would give the edge, slightly, to Everton considering their recent form and goal scoring. Both teams have allowed ten goals this season, so there should be goals in this one.
Form: Aston Villa (L, L, W, W, D, L) Everton (D, W, W, W, L, W)

I'm looking forward to this game and expecting us to win but Aston Villa can be good on their day so hope their Belgian fella is missing as he's a proper handful.
1-3 Everton win.

He's still injured as far as I can tell so a good time to play these as they have had a dreadful set of opening fixtures when you look. I still think we will be too slick, and will nick a goal early, then hang on for 80 minutes lol.
