Everton to face Welsh side TNS in August pre-season friendlyEverton will travel to reigning Welsh Champions for warm-up gameThe New Saints captain Phil Baker lifts the Welsh premier League Cup An Everton XI will face Welsh Champions TNS in an August pre-season friendly. Roberto Martinez will send a team to Oswestry on Sunday August 2 for the warm-up clash at Park Hall Stadium, according to the New Saints website. The friendly will kick off at 3pm and ticketing information will be released shortly. Craig Harrison’s Saints will be in action prior to the Everton game, competing in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round. Current TNS midfielder, Chris Seargeant was part of the Everton Academy as a youngster and is the son of former Everton left back Steve Seargeant. Liv Echo

Can't wait to go to a factory team in Wales! How exciting It works both ways. I'd rather give support to lesser teams in the UK than play a pointless game of football in Singapore against a team of Stoke squad fillers.

Did he learn nothing from last yr when we were seriously undercooked going into the new season. We need proper games, not runarounds against rubbish
