SA Young Player of the Season Rewarded with Professional Contract Following on from receiving the 2012/2013 Ena Jones Trophy for Outstanding Young Player from the Shareholders’ Association earlier this week, defender and Academy graduate Tyias Browning has been rewarded for his progress over the last year with his first professional contract. Quoted on Everton’s official website, Browning said “I’m delighted – it’s what I was working towards for the last eight years. I’ve got the opportunity of another two years to try and make it to the first-team. I wouldn’t be here without the academy and I’ve enjoyed every moment as well. I’ve got two years to try and earn many more years. Last season was my best at the club but it’s only the early stages. Hopefully I will have many more.” Browning has been with the club since the age of 10, and the two year deal means he’s committed his future to Everton until 2015. The Association would like to wish Tyias the best of luck for the coming season and hope his hard work will see him receive further recognition throughout his career. Source:EFCSA
