Ben McLaughlin played the full 90 minutes to help AFC Telford record back-to-back league victories for the first time this season. It was a successful afternoon all round for the Blues’ full-back, who kept a clean sheet as the Bucks thumped Wrexham 4-0 at the Racecourse Ground. Sam Smith and Tony Gray strikes saw the visitors race into a two goal lead inside eight minutes, before Gray added a third on the hour mark and Neill Byrne sealed an emphatic victory with 17 minutes remaining. Meanwhile, John Lundstram helped Leyton Orient battle to a 2-2 away draw with Preston North End. The Toffees’ midfielder also played 90 minutes for the the O’s, who took an early lead courtesy of Chris Dagnall. Former Everton striker Jermaine Beckford then notched for the hosts to ensure the sides went in level at the interval. Preston took the lead when Paul Gallagher converted a 68th-minute penalty, but Chris Dagnall netted his second of the afternoon to earn Orient a point. Matthew Pennington did not feature for Coventry City, who lost 3-1 away at managerless Gillingham, after picking up a slight knock in training.
