 John Lundstram was thrust straight into the action having rejoined Leyton Orient on loan this month. The Everton Under-21s midfielder helped the O's reach the League One play-off final in 2013/14, but the East London side are now struggling at the other end of the division. And 20-year-old Lundstram was powerless to prevent a 1-0 defeat at home to Fleetwood Town on Saturday, playing the entire second half at Brisbane Road. Meanwhile, defender Matthew Pennington played the full 90 minutes as Coventry City slipped to a 3-0 home defeat to Swindon Town on Monday night. The Sky Blues were live on Sky Sports but were unable to get anything from the game and now sit 18th in League One, four points above the drop zone. Meanwhile, Ben McLaughlin could be set to make his debut for AFC Telford United this weekend against Wrexham, after commencing a one-month loan spell last week. The Blues' right-back could have made his bow in the FA Trophy on Saturday, but the Vanorama Conference side's tie at AFC Fylde was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. |
