Everton Under-21s will kick off their 2023/24 Premier League 2 season with a Merseyside derby clash against Liverpool.
The young Blues’ campaign opener will be played at LFC Academy in Kirkby on Monday 14 August (7pm BST).
Just days later, Paul Tait’s team take on Middlesbrough at Heritage Park on Friday 18 August (7pm).
The first home fixture for the Blues falls the following week, as the Toffees welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to The Big Help Stadium in Southport on Friday 25 August (7pm).
A new format will be applied to this season’s Premier League 2 competition. Teams have been seeded and divided into five pots based on performances over the past three seasons.
Fixtures have been determined by a draw made according to clubs’ positions in the five seeded pots. There will be 20 matchweeks, with each team playing 20 regular-season matches throughout the season.
Everton will take on Derby County at the Loughborough University Stadium in their final outing of the regular season.
Alongside league games, the Toffees are set to be in EFL Trophy action again this term. A trip to Doncaster Rovers on 19 September will kickstart that campaign.
They’ll then take on Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium on 26 September in their second game of the competition.
Mansfield Town are the final opponents for the group stage. The Toffees will play them away from home on 7 November.
