Imagine: Lennon could be Merseyside bound if David Moyes walks away from EvertonBarca-beating Celtic boss Neil is in the frame as a potential successor to Toffees manager set to be out of contract at the end of the season
Celtic manager Neil Lennon is a shock candidate for the Everton job if David Moyes leaves this summer.
The Toffees have made keeping highly rated Moyes, whose contract is set to run out at the end of the season, their No1 priority and are hoping to persuade him to sign a new deal.
But Moyes has been reluctant to discuss his future publicly, which has set the alarm bells ringing - a ringing that will grow louder if Everton do not qualify for Europe.
Lennon is in the frame as a potential successor after catching the eye with the job he has done at Celtic.
While also keeping the Glasgow giants top of the tree in the Scottish Premier League, Lennon oversaw a run to the last-16 of the Champions League which included a win over Barcelona.
Hanging onto Moyes is still Everton's preference, but with plenty of clubs keen on the Goodison chief, former Leicester star Lennon could get the call to return south.

I hope not. I don't really want us to continually have Scots in charge. Italian or Spanish, or even German. Just not Lennon.
