Everton will launch their 2020/21 Vitality Women's FA Cup bid with a home fourth-round tie against Durham after the Football Association confirmed the tournament will resume later this month.
Willie Kirk led his side all the way to the final of last season's competition (above) and saw them turn in a courageous display at Wembley Stadium before falling to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City in extra-time.
This season's Women's FA Cup was paused in January when non-elite football was suspended due to the third national lockdown, meaning the first and second round fixtures could not be completed.
However, following the Government’s recent announcement that grassroots football can return from 29 March, the competition will now continue, with the first to fifth rounds to be completed this season and up to three rounds, including the Wembley final, to be played during the 2021/22 campaign.
The outstanding fixtures from the first and second rounds will be played between 31 March and 4 April 2021.
However, to ensure clubs can plan and prepare for their upcoming ties, the draws for the third and fourth rounds have already been made, with Everton entering the competition in round four.
The Blues will welcome Durham - currently second in the FA Women's Championship table - to Walton Hall Park, with the fixture set to be played on Sunday 18 April (kick off TBC).
