Everton have agreed a club-record deal with sportswear brand hummel to design their kits as of next season.
The three-year contract with the Danish company is estimated to be worth in the region of £8 - 10 million per season, which is roughly double the value of Everton’s current deal with Umbro.
As the club’s technical partner, hummel will create the kits for the men’s, women’s and academy squads, as well as the coaching and Everton in the Community staff. The club’s chief executive, Denise Barrett-Baxendale, said:
“This announcement marks the start of an exciting new commercial relationship as we welcome hummel to Everton.
“It is really important that we drive maximum value from our commercial deals and this is a Club-record deal for a technical partnership for Everton.
“It is also important we work with brands that share our ambition and we have all been impressed with hummel’s originality, commitment to quality and vision to challenge expectations.
We look forward to working with them to deliver our players and supporters an exciting range of products over the coming years.”
Founded in 1923, hummel are current manufacturers for such English clubs as Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Charlton Athletic, and have previously worked in the Premier League designing Aston Villa’s kits during the mid-2000s.
Should the 2019-20 season resume the Blues will continue to wear their current kits by Umbro, who have been their official kit supplier since 2014, until the end of the campaign
