loveevertonforum.com/page/everton_fixture_listI don't get those that are happy to wait until September 1st before judging our transfer window dealings. #dont know# Not only have we the most difficult start imaginable, with an away trip to the Championship title winners Leicester City, but then we play Arsenal at home, followed by Chelsea at home, and if that's not bad enough, we then have the International break, meaning realistically, that it could be mid September before any potential new signing gets the chance to start training with the team. Shall we talk about 'relationships', or 'training ground tactics' or anything else our potential signing will miss out on? Shall we talk about the average amount of games lost each year by title winners, should we wish to be challenging this year, just in case all the happy clappers who think it's ok to make our transfer dealings on deadline day don't think the first 3 games of the season are important? Meanwhile, our rivals have their new signings in place, training with their respective sides, settling into their respective roles, and will be ready to come out of the gates at full speed like true title contenders. Somehow the story about the Hare and the Tortoise is amusing, but let's remember that in the real world, the Tortoise loses.
