Everton goalkeeper Joao Virginia has completed a loan move to SC Cambuur and will spend 2022/23 with the Dutch Eredivisie club.
Portuguese Virginia joined Everton from Arsenal in summer 2018 and has made three senior appearances for the Club.
He spent last season on loan in his homeland with Sporting Lisbon, playing eight games in all competitions for the 19-times domestic champions.
Virginia, an instrumental figure in Everton Under-23s’ 2018/19 Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup double success, played on loan for Championship team Reading for the first half of 2019/20.
The 22-year-old, contracted to Goodison Park until summer 2024, joins an SC Cambuur side that finished ninth in the 18-team Dutch top-flight last term.

Why loan him out and sign Andy Lonergan? It's strange isn't it? I thought he looked ok to be fair to him, so it looks like he's not part of our plans, yet - at least.
