Former Manchester United and Everton assistant coach Steve Round is set to join Mikel Arteta's backroom team at Arsenal, Sky Sports News understands. Round worked under Steve McClaren during his spells in charge of Middlesbrough and England before joining Sam Allardyce at Newcastle in 2007. The following year he became assistant to David Moyes at Everton and then joined him at Manchester United, before leaving the club in 2014 when the Scot was sacked. Round later spent two years as director of football at Aston Villa before leaving the club in 2018.
