Fabian Delph has been recalled to the England squad after an impressive start to his Everton career. Delph, a summer signing from Manchester City, featured for the Three Lions in the summer but missed Gareth Southgate’s previous selection through injury. Everton manager Marco Silva said: "It's very, very good news for us and for me as a manager. "The main thing is to work to win games of course but helping our players to achieve the best level they can is important. "We did that since we came to the club, how many players returned to the nation team and how many players had their first call for the national team as well. "It's part of my job and I try to help them to achieve that." Everton team-mates Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane are also selected for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria. Delph, 29, has accrued 20 caps for England and captained the national side against the United States of America in 2018.

Isn't it strange that players are getting recalled based upon a few performances?
