Greetings to everyone, it's been quite a long time since my last visit.
I guess only here I can hope for some understanding of my sorrow moanings.
First of all, I don't think this is the worst game of the season (sadly but this is our level of standard nowadays).
Some key points of the game:
- second yellow for Coleman is unfair (even though commentators were saying the decision was right, slow video show it was an accident collision)
- goal was sloppy as usual (sadly to say so), I think Pickford could have done better and proximity of two defenders wasn't any helpful (maybe even the opposite)
- setting aside scoreline game was even (that fact doesn't console me, because... well it is bloody Burnley)
- we are still the team without a character and desire to win battles
- best player Mina
- worst player Shneiderlin
Long Resume
Burnely wasn't such a good side at all. If we would have some fortitude and commitment we could have won as Arsenal did with Villa (being down to ten men and conceding 2 goals). I wonder whether I see someday Everton with some balls?
And saddest part: few years ago I thought than in 2-5 years we could find ourselves struggling for surviving in BPL. Every season we start with dreams about getting the place in top-6, but reality throws us on the ground heavily. I wonder when club owners and top-management realize that is better to nurture young talents and give them a chance to play with big boys instead of bringing Sheiderlins, Gomezes and similar to them who are bored, tired or whatever and don't give a dam about the club, as far as they getting their paychecks. I want to see young talents who want to go forward with Everton, who committed to the club and won't fly away with the first occasion.
