I am afraid playing the same formation with the same players week after week hoping at some point it will work is madness Zonal marking obviously isn't working either. Silva must be under pressure. Sigurdsson for one needs benching , to me certain players feel un dropable. Not Happy
Zonal marking definitely isn't working. I can't see it working for any team.
I agree with you that there needs to be changes in formation and players. Give some youngsters a chance (David Unsworth did) and watch the difference; it can't be any worse than it is now.
I bet all will be forgotten if we beat Watford on Tuesday night. I've fallen for that a few times - one win and all is forgiven! Not this time!
Sigardsson, I think is playing out of his position. I feel Mina should be left out; he's a liability quickly followed by Coleman sadly, because he's been a great player for us but I think that since Roy Keane insisted on him playing for Southern Ireland and thus getting injured again, he's not the same player, he's slowed down in his thinking and is too cautious in his tackling.

Mina did some mistakes earlier but I guess he is getting better. Couldn't say that about Sigurdsson, he didn't play up to my hopes, but maybe you right it is all bout position. Coleman..well I don't know. But one of the few real goal scoring opportunities of yesterday's match was created by him, when he was going right on side nicely throwing ball behind the back of Burnely's defender ahead of himself and passing inside the box where Iwobi(?) couldn't make a good strong shot. Coleman is a true Blue for me, and I rather prefer him on the bench as potential booster than dismissing him from the club.

Wasn't Mina the best player on the pitch yesterday?

Coleman should have enough experience by now to have avoided that second booking. By getting a red, Sidibe will now get a crack and if he does well it could be hard for Coleman to get back in.

Everton boss Marco Silva has explained in the Daily Mail why he went over to his side’s supporters at the end of their defeat to Burnley.
Everton were beaten 1-0 at the weekend, with the pressure ramping up even further on Silva.
But the Portuguese boss was still keen to applaud the travelling support at full-time.
And the Everton boss claims that he will face his problems head on. “I face up to things, more in these periods than the others,” Silva said.
“I went there to the fans because it's what we must do. I still believe in the players and the quality we have. We had a worse period last season, longer than this one, and they reacted well.
“In this way the things will change for us, but the belief is the same, no doubt.”
