So we needed competition for Right Back, and have just let our back up Right Back go out on loan? Does this mean Holgate will get a chance, or do we have an imminent signing? Holgate was supposed to be a defender so he might be the replacement for Jagielka. Initially yes but he's played out wide a lot so what's to suggest he doesn't prefer it?

Jonjoe Kenny has admitted that he needs to learn after the Everton loanee gave away a penalty on his Schalke home debut against a Robert Lewandowski-inspired Bayern Munich, while speaking on Twitter after the game.
After moving to Gelsenkirchen on a one-year deal from Everton, the Goodison Park academy graduate would have been hoping of a dream start to life in the Bundesliga when perennial champions Bayern arrived at the Veltins Arena.
That dream quickly became a nightmare. The 22-year-old looked every inch a young player with plenty to learn as he was lured into an ill-timed lunge on Bayern’s tricky winger Kinsley Coman in the penalty area.

Kenny smashed home a well-hit effort from outside the box as Schalke defeated Hertha Berlin 3-0.
His goal was just rewards for another excellent performance at his new club. It also made up for his mistake last week, when he clumsily fouled Kingsley Coman in defeat to Bayern Munich.
Everton ended up signing World Cup winner Djibril Sidibe on loan as a replacement for Kenny with Seamus Coleman still the number one choice. But based on his early performances in Germany the 22-year-old might be proving himself ready to one day take over from Coleman at Goodison Park.

I saw his goal. It won't do him any harm.

Jonjoe Kenny is certainly impressing at his new club Schalke. The England under-21 international was allowed to leave Everton on a loan deal this summer and headed to Germany. He joined the Gelsenkirchen side on a deal until the end of the season, where he will play under the guidance of former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner.
Kenny has put in some solid performances for Schalke since his arrival and even scored his first goal in club football with a superb strike against Hertha Berlin at the weekend. Now the Bundesliga club’s sporting director has made his happiness at Kenny’s presence very clear. Speaking to Ruhr 24, Jochen Schneider spoke of Kenny’s early form with delight.
“We are happy that he is here. He fits very well with us.”
