Seamus Coleman has joined the ever-growing Everton injury list. His national manager Martin O’Neill has confirmed the Irishman suffered a stress fracture in his foot in the recent clash with Wales. The right-back, who has been captaining Everton recently, now looks likely for a spell on the sidelines in what is an increasingly crowded treatment room and painful headache for manager Marco Silva.

Republic of Ireland captain Seamús Coleman hopes to put his recent struggles with injury behind him as he makes his return to the international setup.
Coleman suffered a broken leg in the World Cup qualifying match against Wales in March 2017 and was sidelined for the rest of the year.
“It was a very frustrating injury to pick up at the time,” Coleman said.
“Four games into the season, you’re feeling well and then picked up the injury, came back for a couple of games and my fitness wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
“But, the last couple of games I’ve felt much better and I’m good shape for these international games and I’m looking forward to coming in and helping the team.”
