Travel and ParkingBy CarAt the end of the A1(M) continue onto the A1 and then the A184 toward Newcastle. Bear left onto the A189 and go over the Redheugh Bridge (You should be able to see the stadium in the distance). Carry on up the dual carriageway and as you approach the ground you take a right at the traffic lights to access the Gallowgate.
There are numerous car parks near to the St James' Park. At the Gallowgate end is a small car park, however, because the ground is so central to the city, parking is much easier than most places. There are a lot of spots around the city for visitors to pay and display.
Most notable ones are, The Gate Car Park, The NCP multi story car park on John Dobson Street and Grosvenor Casino
By RailNewcastle Central station is served by trains from across the North-East and beyond, with frequent services both before and after the game.
Newcastle Central station is located around a 15-minute walk from St. James' Park and is well signposted.
Cross the road from the station and walk up Pink Lane, passing the Forth Hotel. Turn right onto Clayton Street, then left onto Westgate Street. Outside Tilley's Bar, bear right onto Bath Lane, passing Fujiyama Restaurant. After 200 metres, turn right and then left onto Gallowgate, and the ground will be obvious from here.
Alternatively, take the Metro from Central Station to Haymarket. Cross the road, and turn left. At Mordon Street (next to The Goose), turn right and then left, walking around the back of Eldon Gardens. The ground is at the end of this road - Strawberry Place - just beyond the Strawberry Pub.
By Bus or TaxiNewcastle has two major bus stations, Haymarket (for services from Northumberland and the North) and Eldon Square (services from County Durham and the South).
These are located adjacent to each other on Percy Street, next to Haymarket Metro station. From both bus stations, cross over to the far side of the road, then walk up the passageway next to The Goose public house and turn left.
The Stagecoach buses which operate within Newcastle and Gateshead city boundaries do not stop at either of the bus stations, but stop in the centre of town - from where the ground is signposted and easily walkable.
Stadium Everton seats will be in the top tier of the Leazes Stand (Sir John Hall) at St James' Park.
This is the top tier of this stand and requires supporters to climb a significant number of stairs. There is a lift for supporters with disabilities that can be used to gain access to the Everton seating area.
There are wheelchair spaces in the section set aside for visiting supporters.
Each wheelchair space includes room for a personal assistant or carer, and has easy access from ground level outside of St. James' Park.
The Club has induction loops installed in the main reception, the Box Office and all Official Club Stores. The Box Office is also equipped with a text phone for supporters with hearing difficulties.
The club has around 120 car parking spaces on offer in the near vicinity of the stadium, with plenty of disabled berths within easy access of St. James' Park.
Food & Refreshments The city centre offers a number of cafes and restaurants for hungry visitors as well as food being available inside the ground. Beer is not permitted at seats or outside of designated areas.
The ground is in the centre of the city and so you are only a few minutes’ walk from the main shopping areas of Newcastle. There are plenty of bars to choose from in the city centre, but most away fans tend to favour the pubs opposite and around Newcastle Railway Station.
The 'A Head of Steam' 'The Lounge' and 'O'Neills' are all recommended and there is also a Wetherspoons outlet nearby called the Union Rooms.
Safety Announcement Everton Football Club does not condone the use of pyrotechnics whatsoever those found using them either home or away will be subject of action by the Club and the Police. Being convicted of using them could also result in a jail sentence that is how seriously the matter is being treated by courts across the country.
As a Club we would also impose an indefinite ban on anyone caught using pyrotechnics. Apart from the risk of a ban or conviction the devices have a serious effect on others, particularly those with breathing difficulties and the disabled in wheelchairs who cannot easily get away from the smoke.
Away Fan Ambassador Club Supporter Liaison Officer Rachel Meikle, will be available to help with any queries on the day of the fixture up until Kick Off via Email: rachel.meikle@evertonfc.com
