Everton will play Dutch side FC Twente in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday 19 July (6pm UK time, 7pm local time). The game, which will take place at the home of SV De Lutte in eastern Holland, forms part of the first-team’s pre-season training camp in the country. Ticket details for the match will be confirmed in due course. FC Twente were Dutch champions in 2009/10 and finished last season in seventh place in the Eredivisie. It is Everton’s third confirmed pre-season fixture, with the Blues also facing Kenyan side Gor Mahia in Tanzania on Thursday 13 July and Spanish outfit Sevilla at Goodison Park on Sunday 6 August. The Blues’ involvement in the Europa League also commences in pre-season, with the two-legged third qualifying round matches being held on Thursday 27 July and Thursday 3 August. The draw for those ties takes place on 14 July. It was also revealed on Wednesday that Everton will start the new Premier League season with a home fixture against Stoke City on Saturday 12 August.
